Download Speed

OpenProject is supported by its community members, both companies and individuals. We are always looking for new members to our community, so if you are interested in improving OpenProject we would be glad to welcome and support you getting into the code. Welcome to OpenProject Create a new account. Must be at least 8 characters long. Or sign up using Google. Or sign in with your existing account Google.

The releases are all hosted using GitHub’s releases functionality. GitHub’s releases are hosted on Amazon’s S3 US-East servers. If you experience slow downloads it is caused by limited connectivity from your ISP to US East. If your downloads are interrupted you can try to use a download manager until your ISP or GitHub/Amazon finds a solution to improve connectivity to your region. Add the github.com/opengapps/ URL to your download-manager, not the Amazon S3 URL, to support continuable downloads.

If you have any questions check out the Open GApps Wiki, especially the FAQ answers most questions. If you can’t find the answer to your question use the XDA Q&A Thread or join us on Gitter to receive support. Don’t forget to add at least the Open GApps installer debug log and if experiencing Force Closures also include a logcat.

Bugs

If you’ve found a bug in the pre-built OpenGApps.org packages you can report it at the XDA Open GApps Development Thread. Remember to include at minimum the Open GApps installer debug log and if applicable a logcat.

Please don’t file directly any GitHub issues for The Open GApps Project if you experience problems with the OpenGApps.org pre-built packages. The GitHub issues tracker is only used for issues concerning The Open GApps Project compiler-scripts themselves.

OpenProject Foundation[edit]

The OpenProject Foundation was established by OpenProject's developers and users in October 2012. After founding the association in April 2013, it was registered (VR 32487) in June in the register of the Amtsgericht (local court) of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf (district of Berlin).

The association provides an organizational framework for technical decisions and the propagation, acceleration, and perpetuation of development by the worldwide community and by a full-time development team, funded by the members of the OpenProject Foundation.

The association aims at the following objectives:[8]

Openproject Api

  1. establishing and promoting an active and open community of developers, users, and companies for continuously developing the open-source project collaboration software OpenProject;
  2. defining and developing the project vision, the code of conduct, and principles of the application;
  3. creating development policies and ensuring their compliance;
  4. defining and evolving the development and quality assurance processes;
  5. providing the source code to the public;
  6. providing and operating the OpenProject platform.

The association does not pursue economic goals of its own.

History[edit]

OpenProject has been developed since 2010 along with its ancestor project ChiliProject.[9] The initial motivation for this fork was the OPF founding members' performance, security, and accessibility requirements, which could not be easily reached by plugins for either Redmine or ChiliProject.

Recent and further developments[edit]

The current release schedule and future development roadmap can be observed and discussed on the OpenProject development platform.

Openproject Features

Besides the development of new functions, the following technical objectives are pursued in the context of refactoring: Unit threethird grade reading streets.

  • develop a new API v3;
  • rebuild the work package module with AngularJS as a single-page application;
  • rebuild the CSS structure using the CSS framework Foundation for Apps.

Awards[edit]

In August 2011, OpenProject won the first prize in the category 'Best Practice' of the open source competition of the Berlin Technology Foundation 'Berlin's future is open'.[10][11]

In April 2018, OpenProject won the INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT 2018 of the Initiative Mittelstand in the category Open Source.[12]
